Lionel Messi is all set to play in Saudi Arabia next season

Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi will be playing football in Saudi Arabia next season. Messi is set to sign an expensive contract with a Saudi club. Detailed information about this is yet to be announced.

Recently, Saudi Arabia has been investing a huge amount of money, earned from selling oil, in sports. As part of this investment, both Messi and his biggest rival Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing in the Saudi League.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has stated that Messi’s contract runs until June 30th. However, club coach Christophe Gaultier has confirmed that Messi will play his last game on Saturday against Clemont in the French Ligue 1.

In 2021, the 35-year-old Messi left Barcelona and joined PSG. Since then, he has won the French Ligue 1 title twice. This season, Messi has scored 20 goals and provided 20 assists for PSG.

Gaultier said, “I feel proud to have the opportunity to coach the best players in the world.” In 2022, Argentina won the World Cup under Messi’s leadership.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema, another superstar player from Real Madrid, has also decided to leave the Spanish club at the end of this season. He spent the last 14 seasons at Real and joined from Lyon in 2009. It is rumored that his next destination will be Saudi Arabia.
